Happy New Year! The Napa tour was off to a great start today with a few unique homes that have either just come on the market or came on over the holidays. Even though it’s the first tour we’ve had in almost a month, with school still out for another week, a lot of the homes that we’ve been hearing whispers about in December will hopefully start to pop up. Either way, there were a couple of homes that really stood out.
The first was 1720 Spruce Street (MLS# 21327236) listed by Cynthia Turnbow with Coldwell Banker – Brokers of the Valley at $503,000. This is a 2 bed, 2 bath home at approximately 1133 square feet. The lot is about .15 acres and it has a second…something in the back. It’s not exactly a second unit (no kitchen, bedroom, bathroom) but it is insulated and has a floor. It makes for a great “man cave,” artist studio or even small office. The home was built in 1950 and feels like it – in a good way. The kitchen is a little small and the wood cabinets have a retro feeling, but all of that is part of the charm. This is home is in one of my favorite parts of Napa, just off of Jefferson. There is likely some imagination needed to make this your home (in particular the area right behind the garage) but I feel like this is a great price and great buy.
The other home that really struck me was 36 Miwok Ct (MLS# 21400196) listed by Aida Morgan with Coldwell at $765,000. 3 beds, 2.5 bath, 1953± square feet, sitting on 1/3± acre, this home has it all, but you really have to see it. Beginning with the brilliant blue front door, this home just welcomes you in. Off to the left is the main entertaining/family area with an open floor plan designed to keep people circulating. The fireplace in the family room faces the kitchen so even the chef can feel like part of the crowd. The bedrooms are modest and comfortable. There is a medium size pool and two large raised garden beds in the garden. Located in the desirable Browns Valley, this home just sparkles with anticipation at entertaining family and friends.
